Kel's St. George Dance Competition

Dance competition season is on again! Kel competed in St. George & did great!! We loved having a chance to get out of town for a few days to somewhere a little warmer!!

Jazz Game

Brian was busy with Operation Training last month...really busy, but they were able to play a night and go to a Jazz game. I was thrilled to be invited & really enjoyed meeting many of the people he works with from other countries. We had dinner & then went to the floor to watch Corver warm up. It was fun to be at the game! During half time we were given Jazz shirts and lined up along the floor where the Jazz team comes back in from the locker room & gave them "5" as them came into the arena.

Sick of Winter

I wanted to take a sec. to whine...I am so sick of winter. I am sick of the cold, I am sick of snow, I am sick of dead trees, bushes & no flowers anywhere. I am so ready for spring!! I don't know if I could take another day of this bleak weather. I realize this is how it goes for where I live, but I think I have a right to whine about it and it will be so nice to finally have spring around these parts. I need some sunshine, I need it to be warm & not the warm I get from the fireplace or my little space heater here by my computer! I am ready...bring on the warm weather, the flowers & trees blooming & kids playing outside. I want to sit on my porch & rock like a "old lady" & soak up the sun. I am soooo ready for spring.

My husband is a sweetheart! He's made it a tradition to get balloons or flowers & a little gift & deliver it to the girls at their school. Yesterday he grabbed balloons, candy & a book & drove to Kel's school to make the delivery. I thought he dropped them off at the front office, but no he walked straight to her classroom & made the delivery. I wish I could have seen her face - he said she was a little embarassed, but I know she loved it! A little later he did the same for Aspen, but delivered closer to the end of school so she didn't have to walk all over with her valentine (& it wouldn't fit in her locker). She was thrilled too & I know this makes them feel so loved by their dad. I tease them and ask them if his wife knows about the valentine deliveries - they think I'm a dork :) I also got a valentine & a card that was so nice. He is my sweetheart & I appreciate & love him so much. I hope my girls find a guy that is as wonderful as their dad!
This year I also recieved my valentine pj's from Bri's mom & dad. It's so fun to see them excited to give me a valentine & I love it! They are adoreable jammies & I love them! This is a tradition his parents have done since I've been a member of the family - it's so sweet & I appreciate their love & kindness.

Roommate lunch

Each year our dear friend & former roommate from college, Lari, puts together a lunch date. It's really become something I look forward to & I am grateful she's my "organized" friend to keep on top of this! I think when you are a roommate you always think there will be time to get-together, but as our families have grown & grown up, it's gets a little more difficult to find a time, but we somehow pull it off. Out of 7 roommates we were able to get 5 there - Becky, Tricia, Lari, KyLee & I - we missed Lori & Chrissy. We spent over two hours just gabbing about everything going on in life. It's really such a wonderful thing that we have been able to stay close & to get the high & low lights of everyone's life. I am grateful to have roommates who are friends - we had some really funny times together. Usually we gab about those college times, but yesterday seemed to be a time to talk about what each of us are up to & how our families are doing. We have ended up all living in Utah, we have a load of kids between the 7 of us, we are all married & I must say to some wonderful guys! It's nice to be able to talk to some amazing women who have done amazing things in their lives & I look up to each of them as wonderful examples to me! Thanks again girls for the fun afternoon! I love ya & I look forward to getting together next year.

Basketball Season

Aspen & Madi are teammates this year! They even have their dad/uncle as their coach!

Aunt DD came out & was able to cheer at Kel & McCoy's games. She's the best cheerleader for her nieces & nephews!
Kel & McCoy after playing their games. They both played so great! They had fun, they blocked shots, made baskets & one of the best parts is the treat at the end of the game!!

Picking a winner!!

We took the kids to a movie & while waiting to get treats we noticed this cute Alvin & the Chipmunks display. So I sent them over to take some photos - which I thought turned out really cute. I had to put my fav on here of my niece inspecting one of the chipmunks nose - you never know what great things you could find up there :) funny stuff!!
